Advisory Services

Prepare your organization for the European Digital Identity Wallet.

We provide advisory services to support the implementation of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) and help organizations understand and meet the requirements introduced by eIDAS 2.0.

Starting in 2027, EU Member States will be required to make European Digital Identity Wallets available to their citizens and residents. For organizations across Europe, this means preparing for a new way of identifying users, sharing personal data, and issuing and verifying digital credentials.

A new digital identity ecosystem

The European Digital Identity Wallet is designed to give individuals a secure way to identify themselves and manage digital credentials from a single app.

Users will be able to use their wallet as a digital form of identification, share verified personal information, and store credentials such as university degrees, driving licences and other official documents.

The wallet is designed to work across borders. A wallet issued in one EU Member State should be usable in another, creating a common digital identity ecosystem across the European Union.

For organizations, this represents more than a change to authentication.

What does it mean for your organization?

Organizations that interact with digital identities will need to adapt their systems and processes to work with the new European identity infrastructure.

Banks and other organizations providing regulated services, for example, will be required to support certain EUDIW use cases. They will need to integrate new capabilities, understand how different wallet implementations behave, and ensure that their systems can securely interact with wallets issued across different Member States.

This introduces a number of practical challenges:

  • Understanding which eIDAS 2.0 requirements apply to your organization
  • Identifying the changes required to existing identity and authentication systems
  • Integrating with the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem
  • Supporting credentials and attributes issued by different trusted providers
  • Testing interoperability across different wallet implementations
  • Preparing systems and processes for compliance and future regulatory requirements

From regulatory requirements to implementation

We help organizations turn the requirements of eIDAS 2.0 into practical implementation plans.

Our advisory services can support you throughout the process: from understanding the regulatory and technical landscape to assessing your current systems, identifying gaps, and preparing for integration and interoperability testing.

  • Regulatory & requirements analysis
Understand the requirements introduced by eIDAS 2.0 and determine what they mean for your organization, products and services.
  • Readiness & gap assessment
Assess your existing identity infrastructure, processes and capabilities to identify what needs to change.
  • Architecture & integration advisory
Define the technical approach for integrating your systems with the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem.
  • Interoperability & testing strategy
Prepare for interactions with different wallet implementations and develop an approach to interoperability testing.
  • Implementation support
Work with your technical and product teams to translate requirements into actionable implementation steps.

Be ready for the European Digital Identity Wallet

The transition to a European digital identity ecosystem involves regulatory, technical and interoperability challenges. Starting early gives your organization time to understand the requirements, make informed architectural decisions and validate your implementation before the new framework becomes business-critical.
